Having a Kansas Governor that respects the work of public educators is priceless!
The work to having an education friendly governor? Hard work of volunteers knocking on doors, engaging the community of the issues facing public schools, and educators working to interview candidates, and donations to Kansas Political Action Committee ( Kansas NEA ) to assist in electing education friendly candidates based on their questions related to education in Kansas. Please consider donating today! All money raised through KPAC stays in Kansas. Donate by clicking here. NEA-Salina members are committed to professionalism and supporting educators through collective action.
NEA-Salina has provided two $500 scholarships to Kerry Ingram and Michele Palmgren. Thank you to our partners, specifically the Salina Education Foundation for the amazing work they do for the students of USD 305. If you can provide a small finical gift to SEF each month, ($1-$2) they will make those dollars go far in the educating of our students! Learn more at SalinaEducationFoundation.com. SEF has donated over $25,000 for our students this year!
Past NEA-Salina President Brandon Cheeks continues to advocate for students in Kansas and expanding diversity within the teaching profession in Newton, Kansas.
