Fellow Educators, The Illness and Disability Pool is a great example of how educators in USD 305 and CKCIE work to support each other. In the Negotiated Agreement, Appendix A, Section B, 2, it states: “... a teacher who makes an application for illness leave from the pool must have a serious or catastrophic illness or injury.” Adrienne Mammen of Lakewood Middle School will be coordinating the Illness and Disability Pool with Kari Keck & Sara Praytor, who will work together to make decisions on all applications to use days from the pool. As in past years, if you are a current member of the Illness and Disability Pool you will continue to be a member and do not need to do anything. If you would like to join the Illness and Disability Pool, please complete the form attached and send to Adrienne Mammen of Lakewood Middle School by September 1, 2018. Any membership changes to the Illness and Disability Pool must be made by September 1st. Feel free to scan your signed application & send it via email BY SEPTEMBER 1. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the practices associated with the Illness and Disability Pool. Sincerely, Adrienne Mammen, Kari Keck, Sara Praytor NEA-Salina Illness & Disability Pool Committee
