Thirteen educators and members of NEA-Salina participated in the Annual KNEA Representative Assembly (members are the owners and have a voice in their Association). This year action was required by educators in attendance at the Kansas State House to encourage members of the Kansas Senate to pass a school funding plan that will help get Kansas closer to meeting the needs of all students. While it took till 1 a.m. for a funding bill to pass, Kansas educators and members of NEA-Salina stuck it out till the bitter end of the voting. NEA-Salina only exist because of our members, and when you become a member you become an owner. Consider becoming member during our early enrollment period. In addition also consider joining our political action, $2 a month goes a LONG ways to supporting education friendly candidates in Topeka!
