NEA-Salina Master Teacher Nominations

Melinda Eitel, NEA-Salina's 2016-17 Master Teacher, was selected as the 2017 Kansas Master Teacher, the second year in a row that a USD 305 and NEA-Salina Teacher was selected as a Kansas Master Teacher.

We are currently accepting nominations for the 2017-18 NEA-Salina Master Teacher.  The NEA-Salina Master Teacher will be announced on Thursday, November 16 at 4:00 p.m. at South High School. The NEA-Salina Master Teacher will move on to the Kansas Master Teacher Awards that is hosted by Emporia State University in the spring of 2018.  You can learn more about the Master Teacher Program here.

NEA-Salina Master Teacher Qualifications:
To be eligible for nomination, each candidate must be a member of NEA-Salina, have served at least five years in schools in Kansas as a teacher or instructional leader, exemplified teaching or administrative effectiveness, and demonstrated the attitude and abilities specified in the National Education Association's Code of Ethics of the Educational Professional.
