[Illness and Disability Pool Applications Enrollment Due 9/1/2018]

Fellow Educators,

The Illness and Disability Pool is a great example of how educators in USD 305 and CKCIE work to support each other. In the Negotiated Agreement, Appendix A, Section B, 2, it states: “... a teacher who makes an application for illness leave from the pool must have a serious or catastrophic illness or injury.”

Adrienne Mammen of Lakewood Middle School will be coordinating the Illness and Disability Pool with Kari Keck & Sara Praytor, who will work together to make decisions on all applications to use days from the pool.

As in past years, if you are a current member of the Illness and Disability Pool you will continue to be a member and do not need to do anything.

If you would like to join the Illness and Disability Pool, please complete the form attached and send to Adrienne Mammen of Lakewood Middle School by September 1, 2018. Any membership changes to the Illness and Disability Pool must be made by September 1st. Feel free to scan your signed application & send it via email BY SEPTEMBER 1.

 Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 15 at 4:00 p.m. is our first Building Representative Meeting of the 2018-19 school year. This year we will meet at Salina South High School Library. Please see the schedule below for scheduled dates and times by following clicking on the link below.

Your elected building representatives represent each building's members in making decisions for your local Association. All building representative meetings are open to all NEA-Salina members.

​Logistic Information: 
As construction finishes at Salina South High on the front parking lot and entrance, please see the map below for parking. We will have helpful signs to guide you to the new and beautiful South High Library. Free brownies while in supply last. (Map is outdated as far as construction, the parking highlighted in this map is the best place for attending the meeting.

[RATIFICATION RESULTS] from Amanda Freeman and Dustin Burgardt, Co-Negotiations Chairs:
USD 305 educators subject to the agreement have voted 98% yes to approve the changes to the Negotiated Agreement.  2% voted to not accept the changes to the agreement.
The changes agreed to during the 2017-2018 Negotiations Session, are approved.

USD 305 educators please check your USD305.com email for your ratification ballot and a separate email with information that will educate you on the changes to the agreement. 

Voting will take place Wednesday,  August 8, 12:00 p.m. to Monday, August 13, 4:00 p.m.
